Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SPLURB ("SPLURB", "we", "us" or "our") processes personal data in connection with the ParityAppKit macOS application (the "App") and the website parityappkit.com (the "Website", together the "Services"). ParityAppKit is built to be local-first: it is designed to keep your data on your Mac and to talk to as few servers as possible.

1. Who we are

The data controller is:

  • SPLURB — Société à responsabilité limitée (SARL), share capital €1,500
  • SIREN 832 910 632 · SIRET 832 910 632 00013 · RCS Grenoble
  • Intra-community VAT: FR74832910632
  • Registered office: Le Pré Soleil Bât B, 81 avenue du 14 Juillet 1789, 38420 Le Versoud, France
  • Privacy & data requests: privacy@parityappkit.com
  • Support: support@parityappkit.com

2. Scope

This Policy covers both the App and the Website. Some processing is carried out by independent third parties (Apple and Lemon Squeezy) acting as their own data controllers; in those cases their privacy policies also apply.

3. Local-first by design

The App stores your apps, products, territories, price points, pricing calculations and preferences in a database on your Mac. This information is not sent to SPLURB and we have no server that receives it. Your App Store Connect API private key (.p8) and your license key are stored in the macOS Keychain, never in the database and never transmitted to us.

We do not use any analytics, telemetry, advertising or crash-reporting tools in the App or on the Website. We do not build user profiles and we do not sell personal data.

4. Data the App sends, and to whom

To do its job the App makes a small number of outbound connections. Each recipient necessarily receives your device's IP address as part of the connection. We do not receive any of this data ourselves.

  • Apple — App Store Connect (api.appstoreconnect.apple.com): authenticated with your own API key to read your apps, products and Apple price points, and to push the price changes you explicitly choose. Apple acts as an independent controller under your Apple developer agreement.
  • Apple — iTunes Lookup (itunes.apple.com): the App sends an app or bundle identifier to fetch the public App Store icon artwork.
  • Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com): used to activate, validate and deactivate your license. It receives your license key, a per-device instance identifier and your Mac's hostname (used to label the activation). One activation is allowed per device, and a previously validated license keeps working offline for up to 7 days.
  • Software updates (Sparkle) (parityappkit.com/updates/appcast.xml): the App checks for a new version about once a day. The request reveals your IP address and the installed app version to our hosting provider; no account or identifier is attached.

5. Purchases and billing

Licenses are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment details, billing information and applicable VAT directly; SPLURB receives order and license information (such as your email and license key) but not your full payment card data. See Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy for details of their processing.

6. The Website

The Website is a static site. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical server logs (such as IP address, date/time and user-agent) for security, abuse prevention and reliability. The Website loads the JetBrains Mono typeface from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), which receives the request and your IP address. We use no analytics and no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie-consent banner.

7. Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): delivering and validating your license and operating the App's features.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the Services secure, preventing abuse and delivering software updates.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): keeping invoices and accounting records (handled with Lemon Squeezy).

8. International transfers

Apple and Lemon Squeezy may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Retention

Data created in the App stays on your Mac until you delete it or remove the App. License and order records are kept by Lemon Squeezy and by us for as long as your license is active and as required for accounting and tax purposes (generally up to 10 years under French law). Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted or anonymised.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, email privacy@parityappkit.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

11. Security

Secrets are stored in the macOS Keychain and all network connections use HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we design the App to minimise the data at risk by keeping it on your device.

12. Children

ParityAppKit is a professional developer tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
